Hope you have had a great Christmas and are looking forward to the coming New Year.
I doubt the EDL are. I have just watched Kevin Carroll's Christmas video and my word it has certainly caused a stir with the foot soldiers (snigger) of the EDL. Kevin Carroll, joint leader of the EDL released the video on Christmas Eve, yet despite the initial festive messages Carroll used the 40 minute video to attack those he perceived as opponents of the EDL.
Carroll attempts to explain the recent sacking of Essex regional organiser Paul Pitt, accusing Pitt of lacking people and social skills and making threats of violence and intimidation towards other EDL regional organisers.
Pitt’s dismissal has seen the once solid Essex EDL division split in two, with one side supporting Pitt and his newly formed “South East Alliance” and the remaining half staying loyal to the EDL and the new Essex organiser Witham based Mark Dunbar.
Rather bizarrely Carroll fails to mention Pitt by his name, instead frequently referring to the perceived enemies of the EDL as "Mushrooms".
Perhaps that is a Luton thing as I have never heard of that piece of slang before, I'm certain it isn't meant to be a term of endearment however.
What is even stranger is the fact that while Carroll attempts to cause division in Essex he has made a bit of a mistake, one that might just come and bite him on his behind.
You see, Carroll was full of praise for those loyal members in Essex EDL who still buy the official EDL party line. Carroll singles out Dagenham based racists Diane and Eddie Scrimshaw for a special mention describing them as "fantastic people".
Just moving the video on a few moments, Carroll launches a stinging attack against people involved with groups like The National Front, calling them "Scumbags" and "Moronic" Claiming he would refuse to stand with people like the NF and threatening that if they turn up at EDL events they will receive a size 11 up their backside.
But this is where Kevin has a little problem, the same "fantastic" Scrimshaws marched with the National Front at their annual Remembrance Sunday parade to the Cenotaph back in November alongside a collection of neo nazis such as Mark Atkinson and Kevin Watmough.
So who is the real "mushroom" now Kevin ?

A Neo Nazi who had been on the run for over ten years for an unprovoked racially aggravated attack is finally behind bars.
Alan Thompson was sentenced on December 18th at Southend Crown Court to 11 years imprisonment for grievous bodily harm and 4 1/2 years imprisonment for violent disorder, to run concurrently for his part in a violent attack on two teenagers that left one of them fighting for their life back in 2002.
Darren Bagalo and his friend Farman Khan who were 17 and 18 at the time had been on a night out with family and friends in Romford town centre. As they made their way home a gang of men armed with knuckle dusters and knives attacked them, punching, kicking and stabbing both in a sustained attack.
Moments before the attack the assailants were seen by passers-by and CCTV making Nazi salutes.
The two youths were rushed to hospital where they underwent immediate surgery for serious stab wounds. Darren Bagalo’s injuries, which included stab wounds to the abdomen and torso and kicks to the head, were initially life-threatening, while Farman Khan had been stabbed in the arm.
In 2003 Neil Tarrant, Philip Curson, Paul Knight, Gavin Hockley and Alan Lethbridge were all found guilty of violent disorder at Snaresbrook crown court. A sixth man Robert Bell, who had stabbed one of the youths in the shoulder, was found guilty of violent disorder and GBH. The 6 men were sentenced to terms of imprisonment ranging from 1 1/2 years to 7 1/2 years.
The court heard the police found stacks of magazines supporting the Ku Klux Klan and Combat 18 at Gavin Hockley's home. They also found 150 leaflets with the words Keep Romford White, as well as a photo of Curson,Hockley and Tarrant posing in front of a Nazi flag holding a knuckle duster, cosh and baseball bat.
Hockley had a collage of 150, mostly fascist, photos. In one picture he had cut out Adolf Hitler's face and replaced it with his own.
Thompson, the seventh and final member of the gang was once a BNP member and was very close to their first councillor Derek Beackon. He was also a founder member with Combat 18 and was a high profile member of their north London unit when it was first established in 1992.

It's been a bad day for Thomas Imrie, affectionately known as Choo Choo by his far right friends in the BNP, Infidels and Scottish Defence League.Imrie, who is a close friend and confidant of BNP chairman Nick Griffin and runs the BNP Resistance site is off on a little holiday to Thailand for Christmas, although the reason for his trip has become a little unclear. We initially thought he was going to spend time in Bangkok's infamous Patpong red light district because in his own words he was going there to f**k bitches. However, we have just found a very interesting website that perhaps reveals Imrie's real Thai intentions. Imrie who has the username xhibbesx has a profile on the adult website AdultWork whose raison d'être is " AdultWork.com is committed to providing a safe and anonymous environment where individuals can distribute and market their own adult products, services and content" Maybe Choo Choo is going on a working holiday ? You can view his profile here but just in case it suddenly disappears we did him a favour and took some screen grabs. Have a good holiday Choo Choo.

You may recall the blog my colleague wrote last week about a very disturbed man called Thomas Imrie, a BNP activist from Edinburgh.
Imrie is the world's greatest patriot (according to himself) so guess what he has got lined up for Christmas? Yes, he's off on what looks like a sex trip trip to Thailand, to in his own words, '**** bitches'.
Isn't it funny how many British racists and fascists travel to countries to pay for sex with women (and men) that they otherwise regard as inferior to themselves?
Imrie, like most racists, is a very sick little man. Let's hope he isn't ill on New Year's Day. That would be a shame.

It's been a week or two but enough has happened to warrant one last look into the seedy world of the far-right for the year.
Probably the happiest man in the world of naughty, nutty neo-nazis at the moment is Scotsman Jim Dowson, currently resident of Comber, Northern Ireland. This man manages to buy, own and sell political parties, cripple them and their leaders and still get at the front of the ongoing troubles in Belfast and declare himself some kind of salient, trustworthy political peacemaker. Of course, he now wants to smash the Alliance Party in Northern Ireland too.
The damage he has done to the British Freedom Party, the BNP and the EDL has been well and long documented. Such has been Dowson's hatred of all and everyone associated with the BFP in particular, the party has apparently been too scared to open its mail through fear of more legal letters arriving on their door mat.
The BFP belatedly claimed that their deregulation by the Electoral Commission earlier this month was a mere oversight and the fault of the EC and the EC's only, that they were not instructed that their dues were due. So, perhaps we jumped the gun and let the cat out of the bag too early. There's more misery for that small but fanatical band due very, very, soon in the new year...
Some people find it hard to believe that the proud Scot that is Jim Dowson, now out trying his best to get the Union Flag flown above City Hall in Belfast again would ever lend his dubious money-making talents to the likes of the English Democrats.
But he has, he has apparently given them the full works, pretty much like he did the BNP. He even booked and paid the deposit for their Christmas shindig at an old BNP favourite, the Theobald Park Hotel in Waltham Cross, in Essex. Jim has really given the ED's his Midas touch...
Still, it's all go on Romford market for the BNP today, apparently..

It appears the true intentions of the BNP and its senior officials are rapidly coming to the surface.
Take Paul Hickman, organiser of the Birmingham branch of the BNP.
Once upon a time Birmingham had two large branches in the city, one in the north another the south. Now as the BNP crumbles there is only one much smaller branch in the whole of the city which comes under the control of arch Griffin bootlicker Paul Hickman.
Hickman clearly displays two things that are more important to him than anything else.
One of them happens to be a Swastika ! Nick Griffin will no doubt approve.

I wrote a blog a fortnight ago about the new St Helens BNP organiser Peter Clayton and his violent tendencies.
It seems to have ruffled a few of his friends feathers who claim Peter is a nice wholesome kind of lad who isn't really a violent racist thug.
Well we have been passed an interesting photograph that shows the company that Clayton keeps and there are plenty of interesting faces on there.
On the far right of the photo with the goatee beard is John Hill from Oldham. Hill was a leading member of the violent Neo Nazi organisation Combat 18. After leaving C18 he went on to form the paramilitary Racial Volunteer Force with fellow Nazi thug Mark Atkinson.
In 2005 Hill & Atkinson along with three others were jailed for creating and distributing race hate material. The five jailed had all admitted conspiracy to publish the group's magazine, Stormer, with the intention of stirring up race hate. One Stormer article wrote of their hatred of non whites and articles featuring anti Jewish headlines such as Roast A Rabbi. With a picture of a firebomb, the magazine said: "With the winter nights to shroud you in darkness we thought a few of you would like to don your disguises and rubber gloves and make things a little warmer."
Another copy of the magazine featured bomb making instructions and praised Soho bomber David Copeland, who was jailed for life for murder after attacks targeting the gay community and ethnic minorities in London.
Hill and Atkinson was jailed for 4 and 5 years respectfully.
Next to Hill in the white jacket is Kevin Watmough who runs the online hate site Redwatch which encourages his fellow Nazis to attack and harass anyone who opposes their poison.
In the centre with the spectacles is Kevin Bryan from Bacup who is the deputy chairman of The National Front. Next to Bryan in the purple jacket is Blood and Honour supporter Janni Haggerty. Blood & Honour is a neo-Nazi music network composed of white power skinheads with links to Combat 18.
Immediately behind Haggerty is the violent neo nazi Liam Pinkham who has links with the RVF, NF and the violent British Freedom Fighters.
Pinkham, who is always at the forefront when there is violence was recently arrested for an attack on a band member due to play at an anti fascist fundraiser in Liverpool and has been to prison several times along with being served a football banning order in the past.
So if Clayton isn't a violent racist nazi he is certainly guilty by association.

A leading member of the North East Infidels was arrested over the weekend and charged with firearm offences.Paul Duffy, a former North East regional organiser for the English Defence League and activist with the breakaway North East Infidels was arrested on Sunday and has been charged with possession of a firearm. Duffy, from Seaham, County Durham is currently being held on remand in HMP Durham and awaits trial sometime in 2013.

Here's Glen Warren, the EDL's man about Tipton town.
Like Lacette Brooks he spends his time telling people that the Muslim community are cruel to animals.
Let's hope he does not have children.

The tiny British Freedom Party, the supposed political arm of the EDL, has been de-registered by the electoral commission.
The decision, which was made with the knowledge of the party leadership without consulting the party membership, surely spells the end for the short-lived religious and racial extremists.
The party was de-registered when its leader Paul Weston and party official Dr George Whale did not respond to the commission's repeated requests for confirmation that the party was still active, and comes after the party fared worse than they expected in the recent PCC elections in Bedfordshire, where it claimed its 10% of the poll would translate into millions of votes across the country.
Few of the party's membership are even aware that this has happened. Weston has apparently lost all interest in the party and is keen to look to others for help in forming a totally new alliance, without the former BNP members who actually started the party.
In part, the main problem the party has faced has been the result of legal difficulties caused by the actions of Jim Dowson who served legal papers on a number of BFP officials. Weston was furious that he had been dragged into an old argument that began back in 2010 when the BFP split from the BNP.
By not responding to repeated requests from the electoral commission for renumerations to keep the party registered, BFP officials have been hoping to avoid being sued.
This ploy is unlikely to work.

One of the EDL's last remaining allies appears to be about to pull the plug on their mutual friendship.March For England, a kind of "EDL lite" for aging football hooligans predates the EDL by several years, emerging from the now defunct United British Alliance. They are a separate entity to the younger EDL, however have co-operated closely when it has come to marches and demonstrations, taking part in each others events with activists overlapping both of the organisations. Not anymore it seems, as Dave Smeeton the Fareham based leader of MFE declaring that the EDL are no longer needed or wanted at MFE events. The final straw appears to be the fact that the EDL have attempted to take over the running of the annual MFE St Georges Day march held in Brighton. The EDL issued a call to arms to its members to turn up in Brighton to confront the large antifascist contingent that turn out to oppose the march every year much to the annoyance of Smeeton who told his members " Who the hell are the EDL to jump in and say everyone is welcome in Brighton ?" He continued "This has nothing to do with the EDL whatsoever and due to them diving in feet first where they are not welcome it looks as this will now be banned." However, some members of the EDL are claiming they will attend Brighton with or without the blessing of Smeeton. The decision to attend appears to be down to the EDL's chief regional organiser Tim Ablitt who Smeeton was desperately trying to contact to have the decision reversed. Ablitt so far has failed to respond to Smeeton's request with the MFE leader finally declaring "Think I will just withdraw my support for the EDL after this stab in the back. They think they can just barge in and do and say what they like. Well I don't think so. Sod them, I am old school and don't take kindly to people who act in this way."

Whilst EDL leader Stephen Lennon aka Tommy Robinson prepares to enjoy his Christmas dinner in HMP Bedford, the EDL that he created continues to fragment and lurch further to the right.
Eddie Stampton who uses the alias Mark Pringle is a delightful character. Veteran Neo Nazi and now Essex EDL activist under the guidance of Paul Pitt, you can read more about Eddie here.
Eddie has discovered a Facebook page set up to oppose a planned EDL march in Cambridge next year.
Did he attempt serious debate? How about trying to explain what the EDL really stands for?
No, Eddie reverted to type and posted an image of a swastika, well done Eddie.
Will Stampton be allowed to march with the EDL again? Probably.

How many times have you heard the EDL bang on about them not being Nazis? Can I offer some advice to one well known lady EDL activist from Norfolk? If you want to be taken seriously on that point may I suggest you don't quote notorious Nazi war criminals? Julia Howman from Sprowston near Norwich is also known as Julia Howe and Julia Angelcynn and was originally in the BNP and was their Norwich organiser for a time. In 2009 she stood as a BNP candidate in the Norfolk County Council elections, failing miserably in last place. She was also linked to the right wing Steadfast Trust Charity, although they claimed recently that they no longer had any association with her. Howman then joined up with the EDL and is a regular at their meetings. She was one of the speakers that addressed the crowd at the recent EDL demo in Norwich held in November. So it's probably not a good idea to post quotes made by Dr Josef Mengele. Mengele was a German SS officer and physician at the Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz who gained notoriety for performing human experiments on camp inmates, including children, for which Mengele was called the "Angel of Death".

In a move that will surely enrage Loyalists, a leading member of the BNP has launched a stinging attack against the Belfast "flag" protesters labelling them as "fake patriots".
Thomas Imrie, a BNP activist from Edinburgh who also runs the BNP's Resistance Facebook page wrote " all the so called patriots come out for the belfast flag fiasco.... i ask where the fuck use are when us true british patriots are fighting to save the uk on the streets every week. use will go back in your holes watching your fucking match of the day on a sat night while we defend our flag queen and country up and down this land. GSTQ KTF NFSE"
This will no doubt go down very badly with the numerous Loyalists within the BNP, however Imrie is also very close to the North West Infidels led by llama killer and former drug addict John "Snowy" Shaw who is a staunch defender of Loyalism and a frequent visitor to Northern Ireland. It will be interesting to see what the Loyalists in Northern Ireland make of the BNP's comments as the BNP are already detested in the province.

The far-right Britain First Party, led by the thug Jim Dowson are offering a free membership to their party to anyone who can pass them the details of the home address of controversial comedian Frankie Boyle for "Direct Action".
The Scottish comedian recently sued the Daily Mirror and won. One wonders if it is because Boyle is a Celtic fan that the BFP's joint leader Paul Golding, a former BNP councillor, is issuing these threats?

There's an unpeasant feeling in Belfast tonight as crowds disperse after a protest in the centre of town by Loyalists and Unionists. The PSNI confirm that renegade paramilitaries are now directing youths into rioting as the majority of the estimated 10,000 marchers return home across Belfast.
Once more as they have been since earlier this week, youths are out on the streets clashing with the police and attacking property in a protest about the decision by Belfast council to remove the Union Flag from city hall except for 15 designated days of the year.
During the rally today, who should we bump into but far-right boss Jim Dowson, formerly of the BNP and now a fundraiser for the English Democrats, stirring the crowd up as one of a series of speakers at the protest rally.
Dowson has now departed as the PSNI flood Belfast to stop rioters.
Cars are now burning and there is a stand-off on Newtonards Road where Dowson has been marching.
The Christmas market is empty and shoppers have left the centre of Belfast, traditionally its busiest weekend.
Merry Christmas, Belfast.

It is no surprise that where the EDL go racist violence follows soon after. Two Bradford EDL activists have admitted taking part in violence following a protest in West Yorkshire earlier this year. Stephen Woodhead and the Bradford EDL organiser Kevin Docherty have this week appeared at Leeds Crown Court and have both admitted violent offences dating back to March when the EDL held a small flash demonstration in the town of Cleckheaton. After the demo a number of the protesters headed to the nearby towns of Dewsbury and Heckmondwike where violence and disorder soon broke out. Docherty pleaded guilty to racially aggravated criminal damage and violent disorder after two Asian men were chased through Dewsbury. Woodhead pleaded guilty to racially aggravated common assault. The prosecution has applied to have anti social behaviour orders imposed on them during sentencing which will now take place in January.

The BNP likes to print little local stories on its website to try and convince its readers that it still is a fully functioning political party.
Stories appear on the BNP website about the same half dozen areas of the country.
There is just one problem with that trick, it isn’t a functioning party. The reality is the BNP is crumbling all over the UK.
Just this week the BNP announced that it had a new organiser Peter Clayton for the St Helens branch of the party.
Hope not Hate knows Peter Clayton and St Helens BNP very well.
Peter Clayton is a member of the thuggish North West security team that regularly acts as bodyguards to the BNP chairman Nick Griffin.
Clayton’s best friend is the BNP activist and candidate James Winstanley who hit the headlines in 2011 after the local newspaper ran a story revealing that Winstanley had made threats to post excrement through the letterbox of a local voter because she rejected his racist views.
Another friend of Clayton is Paul Telford who Hope not Hate revealed earlier this year had posted a litany of racist abuse including images of Swastikas on his Facebook account.
Not to be outdone by his racist chums, Clayton himself has recently made the news following a conviction for possessing an offensive weapon whilst working as a doorman in a local pub.
We can also reveal that Clayton was one of those contacted by the Norwegian mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik . The killer emailed copies of his racist manifesto to like minded individuals hours before he went on his killing spree in 2011.
St Helens BNP is chock full of violent racist thugs. Sounds like a match made in heaven for Peter Clayton.

Jim Dowson, the cashed-up leader of the tiny Britain First Party is counting the cost this morning of his party's disastrous foray into the world of the EDL at war.
Having spent a great deal of his time and energy courting the EDL, his decision to bankroll yesterday's disaster in Southend as well as a poor showing by the English Dems in Rotherham, has got poor old Jim worrying that he's losing his Midas touch.
This would appear to have got Jim issuing daft threats against us, and his party's nominal Chairman, Paul Golding, threatening our photographer yesterday. This is not the way forward, Jim. Complaining about "illegal" Mosques while you use your "Guesthouse" as a "church" is a bit rich. Even for you.
Dowson's disaster in Southend (he didn't attend himself) will not be as expensive as the time he told the BNP to fight Marmite, but the mere fact it was a wash out has got Nick Griffin smiling.
Griffin is telling everyone that the BNP is "back in town", but only a gullible fool would believe him. My colleague Nick Lowles has taken that argument to pieces here:
The party may have come third in Rotherham last week, but they are a long way from being anywhere near where they were in 2009. They also came third in parliamentary elections in Barking in 2005 and 2010.
With that in mind, Griffin is putting heavy pressure on his former colleague Andrew Brons to hand his seat in the European parliament back to the party he is no longer a member of.
Let's hope Patrick Harrington does not think he'll have any chance of getting the seat. After the spanking he took on Friday because of his "union" Solidarity not being entirely honest with people, a photograph allegedly of him that is doing the rounds today would suggest, sitting anywhere would be hard for him at the moment...

Just keeping an eye on the Britain First anti mosque demo in Southend.
Britain First is the brainchild of James Dowson, the man who was once dubbed ‘the man who owns the BNP’.
Some of the Essex EDL have said they intend to show their faces here despite being ordered by the EDL leadership to attend the overnight protest in Bedford in support of their jailed leader Stephen Lennon aka Tommy Robinson.
Currently only six protesters at the muster point so it can hardly be described as a glowing success. In fact there are more people at the nearby Southend Cycle roadshow than at the protest.
Nick Griffin will no doubt find the whole thing highly amusing, however he wasn't laughing quite as loud when only 3 BNP members turned up for their protest outside the Royal Courts on Thursday.
